U malim kolicinama nalazi se i u majcinom mlijeku.<o:p></o:p></span></font> <p ="Ms&#šš1;normal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"><font color="#000000"><font size="2"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">Slicnokao i kod vitamina i slicnih hranjivih tvari, bilo bi vrlo tesko ineprakticno konzumirati dovoljno hrane, kojom bi regularnim putem mogliunijeti vece kolicine HMB u tijelo. <b style="">HMB </b>je metabolitleucina, esencijalne razgranate amino kiseline (BCAA), koja se nalazi uhrani bogatoj proteinima. U tijelu se iz leucina stvara me|uproduktzvan KIC (</span><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="">m</span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">- ketoizokaproat), a taj se pretvara u HMB u citoplazmi jetrenihstanica. Gotovo 5% primljenog leucina tijelo pretvara u HMB u koliciniod 0,25 do š g dnevno, ovisno o kolicini unesenih proteina. Da bitijelo moglo proizvesti 3 g HMB, bilo bi potrebno da se unese 60 gleucina dnevno, sto nije ostvarivo.<o:p></o:p></span></font></font></p><p ="Ms&#šš1;normal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"><font size="2"><font color="#000000"><b style=""><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">HMB</span></b><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">,kao metabolit leucina ima vrlo vaznu funkciju sprecavanja razgradnjemisicnog tkiva, koja nastaje zbog naprezanja vlakana tijekomintenzivnog treninga uz ocuvanje cjelovitosti stanicnih membrana.Posljedica smanjivanja raspada misicnih proteina je pozitivna, jer uzprikladan trening dolazi do povecanja velicine i snage misica. Zbogpovecanja misicne mase, <b style="">HMB </b>reducira kolicinu masnog tkiva jer se povecava brzina oksidiranja masnih kiselina.</span></font></font></p>&nbsp;]]>
